The Spartans scored their lone goal in the 4th minute when Nicole Candioglis scored off a cross from Anna DeWeirdt. Goalkeeper Tina Vargas recorded the shutout.

Skyline finished atop the KingCo 4A regular season standings with a 9-0-1 league and 13-0-2 overall record. They host Issaquah (7-1-2, 9-4-2) at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 1 for the KingCo 4A championship.

Eastside Catholic routs Ingraham

Eastside Catholic opened up the Metro League tournament with a bang Tuesday, beating Ingraham 5-0.

The Crusaders received two first-half goals from Kelly Crow to take a 2-0 halftime lead. KK Standish, Jordan Luscier and Elizabeth Escobar added scores in the second half, while goalkeeper Nemo Thomas recorded the shutout.

Eastside Catholic (7-5-5) faces Nathan Hale (7-6-2) next at 7 p.m., Thursday at Ingraham High School in a loser-out contest. The winner advances to face Seattle Prep at 7 p.m., next Tuesday.

Eastlake drops regular-season finale

Eastlake lost its regular-season finale 1-0 to Roosevelt Tuesday night, but the Wolves will still get the KingCo 4A’s fourth seed and a home playoff game.

Eastlake (3-2-5, 5-3-8) will host fifth-seeded Woodinville (4-4-2, 7-4-3) at 7 p.m., Saturday in a loser-out game. The winner moves on to play the winner of Garfield-Redmond at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 1 at Skyline High School.

No stats were reported from Tuesday’s game.

Eastlake secures seventh seed

Eastlake secured the seventh-place seed into the KingCo 4A tournament Tuesday night, beating Redmond in three games: 25-15, 25-10, 25-9.

Anna Gorman had 10 kills for the Wolves, while Zoe Escarda threw down eight kills and three blocks.

Taylor Finlon recorded 23 assists as Eastlake locked up the seventh-seed with a 4-6 league and 6-8 overall record

The Wolves begin the KingCo 4A tournament at 3 p.m., Saturday against No. 2 Roosevelt in Seattle.

Issaquah drops final match, earns playoff berth

Issaquah lost its final regular-season match to Newport Tuesday, but it didn’t matter as the it grabbed the eighth and final KingCo 4A playoff seed.

The Knights (12-1) defeated the Eagles (3-10) in three games: 25-16, 25-14, 25-11, earning the tournament’s top seed.

The two teams will square off again in the opening round of the KingCo tournament at 1 p.m., Saturday at NHS.

Skyline falls to Woodinville

Skyline dropped its final regular-season match Tuesday, falling in three games to Woodinville: 25-19, 25-22, 25-23.

Madison Stoa led Skyline with 22 digs, 10 assists and three aces.

The win gave the Falcons (11-3) the third seed in the KingCo 4A tournament and dropped the Spartans (11-3) to the fourth seed.

Skyline begins the KingCo 4A tournament at 3 p.m., Saturday against fifth-seeded Bothell (8-5) at Newport High School.
