Skyline wins KingCo tournament

The Skyline Spartans boys soccer team clinched a berth in the Class 4A state tournament courtesy of a 4-0 victory against the Mount Si Wildcats on May 9 at Skyline High School in Sammamish. The Spartans improved their overall record to 12-1-1 with the victory. Skyline hasn’t lost a game since its 2-1 loss to Curtis in a non-league game on March 17.

Inglemoor defeats Issaquah in loser-out contest

The Inglemoor Vikings defeated the Issaquah Eagles 3-0 on May 5 in a loser-out KingCo tournament playoff game. The Eagles finished the 2016 season with an overall record of 6-3-3.

Woodinville earns win against Eastlake in loser-out game

The Woodinville Falcons defeated the Eastlake Wolves 6-3 in a loser-out KingCo tournament playoff game on May 5 at Pop Keeney Stadium in Bothell. Eastlake finished the 2016 season with an overall record of 8-5-1.

Cougars conquer Wolves in contest

The Bothell Cougars defeated the Eastlake Wolves 9-1 in a loser-out, KingCo 4A district playoff game on May 6. Eastlake finished the 2016 season with an overall record of 10-11.

Wildcats defeat Spartans by a run

The Mount Si Wildcats defeated the Skyline Spartans 7-6 in the first round of the KingCO 4A district playoffs on May 7.

Crusaders nab win against W. Seattle

In the first round of the Class 3A Metro playoffs the Eastside Catholic Crusaders came through against West Seattle. The Crusaders nabbed a comeback 3-2 win against West Seattle on May 7. West Seattle took a 2-0 lead in the first inning of play but the Crusaders tallied one run apiece in the sixth, seventh and eighth inning to capture the extra innings triumph. Dylan Melody had a team-high two hits in the win for Eastside Catholic. Matt Laris had 2 RBI as well.
