Issaquah is headed back to the state tournament and 4A KingCo title game after beating Bothell last night.

Issaquah earned a spot in the 4A KingCo title game with a 7-3 with over Bothell last night and is headed back to the state tournament for the first time in three seasons.

Andrew Kemmerer got the scoring started with a three run home run in the first inning while Ethan Kalin and Justin Vernia combined on a three hitter on the mound, Kalin picking up his first win of the year in the process.

It will be a pair of Crest foes meeting for the third time this year in the title game after Redmond topped Newport 9-1 in the other semi-final behind pitcher Peter Hendron. Issaquah was the last team to beat Redmond, doing so in late April. The Mustangs have won 14 of its last 15 games since beginning the season with seven straight losses.

The Spartans saw the season come to an end after only two games in the KingCo tournament after winning the Crest Division during the regular season.
