Eastlake held off a late charge from the Crusaders to move to 2-0.

Eastlake kept its record perfect in the first of two Sammamish showdowns in consecutive weeks, beating Eastside Catholic 27-21.

The Wolves built a 20-7 lead in the third quarter and led throughout, and used a Jeffrey Feinglas kickoff return for a touchdown to combat an score from the Crusaders and provide the eventual game-winner.

Skyline evened its record at 1-1 with a 38-23 over Coeur d’Alene in Idaho, using two first half rushing touchdowns from quarterback Kilton Anderson, another from sophomore running back Rashaad Boddie and an interception return for a score from junior captain Cameron Saffle to build a 28-3 lead.

The Viks answered with a pair of scores to bring the score to 28-15 at the half, but the Skyline defense was too much in the final 24 minutes as the Spartans picked up another defensive score, this time from Drew Lunde, to cap the win.

Eastlake will travel to Skyline next Friday for a 7 p.m. kick.

Issaquah was undone by four turnovers in a 28-20 loss to Mount Si.

Wildcats’ quarterback Nick Mitchell, an Oregon State University commit, threw three scores and ran in the fourth, which came after an interception, before a fumble by the Eagles allowed Mount Si to run out the clock.
