Eastlake golfers take two more

The Wolves stayed perfect in 2013, beating Issaquah by 12 strokes at Sahalee behind the a three-way tie for medalist honors at 37.

Spencer Weiss, Gabe Lysen and Scott Nielsen all carded a one-over par to help Eastlake to the win.

Zack Overstreet, a state competitor last spring, was the low-man for the Eagles with a 40. Sid Raman and Taylor Swingle checked in with 42 for Issaquah.

Eastlake followed that win with another, 186-198 over Bothell.

Cross Country

Eastlake boys seventh in Oregon

Eastlake’s boys and girls cross country teams measured themselves against teams from around the Pacific Northwest and California recently, competing in the Nike Pre-Nationals Invitationals in Portland, Ore. against 124 other prep squads.

The boys team was seventh, finishing third among Washington teams, and the girls came in ninth place led by the duo of Devon Bortfeld and Anastasia Kosykh.
