The Eastside Lions Youth Rugby Club will have open registration for the 2012 season at the Sports Reaction Center in Bellevue from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 17.

Registration is open for the U-19 (varsity), U-16 (junior varsity) U-14 (C-team) squads.

Attendees will receive free pre-concussion screenings on behalf of the Sports Recreation Center.

The season begins in January and runs through May. Dues are $250 and include shorts and socks (jerseys provided by team). Scholarships and payment plans will be offered on a case by case basis.

The Eastside Lions are comprised of local athletes who participate in football, soccer, basketball and wrestling. With nearly 100 registered players, the Lions are one of the largest youth rugby clubs on the West Coast. The Eastside Lions compete in Division 1 of Rugby Washington.
