Secondary students to be released an hour early Monday

Snow dusts the top of Issaquah School District buses at the bus barn near Issaquah High School. High school and middle school students were taken home an hour early to ensure the bus drivers could make it back in time to bring home the elementary students.

The middle and high school students will be released an hour early Monday so that the district’s two-tier bus system has enough time to finish the routes and pick up the elementary students at their regular dismissal time.

There are also a few program cancellations including P.M. kindergarten, P.M. ECE, and the after school Sockeye Daycare.

Most of the bus routes will be the same with a few exceptions. Families on the changed routes will receive an auto-dial phone call. Check online for the new drop-off areas.

Winter weather route changes include:

· Tiger Mountain

· Mirrormont

· High Valley

· Licorice Fern

· China Creek (Newcastle area)

· 132nd off of Issaquah Hobart Road

· 55th Loop off Cougar Mountain

· Roller Coaster, Southeast 60th Street on Cougar Mountain

· Squak Mountain (downtown Issaquah)

· Forest Drive off of Cougar Mountain
