After a couple weeks of delays, the City of Issaquah completed its undercrossing project near the post office today.

The new two-lane road starts at Gilman Boulevard and travels to East Lake Sammamish Parkway and Southeast 56th Street.

Before the project completed, there were only two connections between the north and Downtown Issaquah, State Route 900 and Front Street.

Unlike those connections, the new undercrossing doesn’t have traffic from freeway access.
