No brains were reported taken when a group of bloodthirsty zombies took over the streets of Issaquah on Saturday afternoon.

It can only mean one thing — the Downtown Issaquah Association’s eighth annual Zombie Walk brought Halloween flare to Front Street.

Volunteer makeup artists transformed human faces into those of the undead, and Alyson Young taught the zombies choreography to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” and The Rocky Horror Picture Show’s “Time Warp.”

With ghoulish faces, ragged clothing and a certain dead-ness to their step, the zombies made their way from the Historic Shell Station to City Hall, where they performed “Thriller” and “Time Warp” in a flash mob.

When they were all danced out, the older zombies headed to the Issaquah Brewhouse, where Fred and the Ghouls provided not undead but live music. The younger zombies enjoyed the classic Halloween film “Hocus Pocus” at a party at the Issaquah Train Depot.
