Swedish-Issaquah Medical Center recently finished ahead of several other strong contenders, winning the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce award for Building of the Year.

Readers submitted 2,740 votes for the 550,000-square-foot facility, putting it well ahead of the next closest challenger, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Campus (1,728).

Other top contenders included Amazon.com, Phase IV; Virginia Mason Jones Pavilion and Good Samaritan Hospital-Puyallup. There was a total of 29 buildings to choose from.
