Top teams from around the country will converge on the Eastside for this weekend's Northwest Invitational.

Girls golf

Issaquah 236 Eastlake 254

The Eagles escaped Snoqualmie Falls Golf Course with the win behind the 34 of Mersadie Tallman. Eastlake was led by the 36 of Jamie Midkiff.

Boys lacrosse

Issaquah 8 Eastside Catholic 5

Duncan Hamilton had a hat trick and Issaquah remained undefeated with a 8-5 win over the Crusaders. Colin MacIlvennie had three goals for Eastside Catholic in the loss.

Skyline 13 Lake Washington 10

Brian Benz led the way for the Spartans with four goals and Skyline picked up its first win of the season over Lake Washington.

Top prep lacrosse teams in nation coming to Eastside

16 of the top prep boys lacrosse teams from the West Coast and as far away as New York will come to Mercer Island this weekend for the Northwest Invitational and the Bellevue Wolverines will be on hand see where they stack up against a field full of playoff participants and three state champs from 2011.

The seventh installment of the tournament will feature: Guiderland (New York), Palo Verde (Las Vegas, Nev.), Lincoln (Portland, Ore.), Claremont School (Victoria, B.C.), Sunset (Portland, Ore.), Centennial (Las Vegas, Nev.) Lakeridge (Lake Oswego, Ore.), Jesuit (Portland, Ore.), Timberline (Boise, Ida.) Lake Oswego (Ore.), Skyline, Issaquah, Lake Washington, Mercer Island and Bellevue.

Girls lacrosse

Eastside Catholic 24 Nathan Hale 0

Grace Howland had six goals and Lauren Breynaert added five more in the win for EC.

Issaquah 17 Seattle Prep 7

Haley Mincin scored six goals and Issaquah remained unbeaten on the year with its third straight win.

Baseball

Chief Sealth 1 Eastside Catholic 6

Alex Foley struck out 10 in five innings of work and allowed only one run as the Crusaders topped Chief Sealth. Jeff Bohling finished with a double and scored three runs and Jeff Kepple also had a base hit and added an RBI.

Austin Soukup allowed one hit and no runs in two innings of work.

Softball

Eastlake 8 Auburn 1

Sophie Palenscar picked up the the win for Eastlake in the circle and also went 2-4 with 1 home run at the plate.

Elizabeth Tracy was 2-3 and Lexi Jaeger was 2-4 and both added home runs in the win.
