Issaquah doesn’t have Klahanie interests at heart

I was involved with Sammamish incorporation efforts to become a city. I can understand Klahanie's desire to do likewise. I do feel that Sammamish would do a better job as a city government for Klahanie than Issaquah.

I was involved with Sammamish Incorporation efforts to become a city, so we could have a greater impact by having a hands-on approach of local government and I think we have done a pretty good job of getting our new city off the ground and running.  I can understand Klahanie’s desire to do likewise.  I do feel that Sammamish would do a better job as a city government for Klahanie than Issaquah.

Issaquah’s city government will not have the best interest of Klahanie citizens at heart. Issaquah’s expansion interests could be related to the analogy of parts of a dog where Klahanie could be the hind leg of the dog and the highly developing areas such as the Issaquah Highlands will be the tail that will, in this case, truly wags the dog.

Klahanie residents would be far better off being part of Sammamish where the city government is focused  on the citizenry of Sammamish and not the demands of a big business area, such as The Issaquah Highlands.
