Time again to ask for your help

It’s that time of year again! It’s hard to believe, but this is already our eighth year of having the great privilege to team with Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission to help feed hungry people during the upcoming holidays. Your generous participation has blessed all of us involved in the One Meal … One Hope Challenge.

The goal for the last seven years has been to raise enough money to feed the expected 1,200 people for one day during the holidays at Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission at a cost of about $2,300. Our seven-year total has exceeded $48,000, providing over 25,500 meals. Last year the total donations were $6,270, providing meals for nearly three days.

The Mission has been committed to feeding hungry people in our community for over 78 years. Joining in the One Meal … One Hope Challenge is a way to make an impact to those in need in our community.

If you would like to help, you can either mail your donation to our home or hand it to us by Tuesday, Nov. 23. You will receive a tax deductible receipt from Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission sent directly to you.

We will hand-deliver your donations to the Mission on Nov. 24.

Our good friend Mark Bowers is assisting us this year. You can reach him at 425-222-3782.

Thank you so much for your help.
