Issaquah will make music on Saturday, June 21, in celebration of International Music Day, joining people around the world to celebrate music through free, open and accessible events.

In Issaquah, musicians will take to the streets in the downtown area and Gilman Village. In addition to the several live music venues that host live music on every Saturday night, merchants will bring live music into their venues for the night. There also will be several outdoor spots with bands playing. More than 20 performers have signed up to participate.

Groups performing include Acoustic Fantasy, Bluegrass Ryders, Bob Brock and Lee Haro, Cry Daddy, Fabulous Roof Shakers, Gordy and Boys, Little Lion, The Redondoes, Scinite, Travis Hartnett Trio and ukulele sing-a-longs. Solo performers include Donna Mansfield, Marty Smith, Randy Bowles, Tom McDonald and Tori Whitten. Music schools participating include Chopin Academy of Music and Eastside School of Music.

A schedule of venues and musician times will be available in June.

In addition, an all-instrument Flash Mob will take place on the steps of City Hall from 6-6:30 p.m. performing Louie, Louie.
