The Issaquah School District is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the capture of the author of a letter threatening staff members at Pacific Cascade Middle School, according to an email sent out to the school’s mailing list.
Pacific Cascade was closed Wednesday and closed again Thursday as the district and law enforcement continued their investigation of the typewritten letter found outside a teacher’s classroom.
The letter threatened four school staff, alluded to access to a gun and promised violence at lunch or a planned winter assembly Friday.
School administrators plan to announce whether school will be in session Friday at 6 a.m. the day of.
Anyone with information leading to the author of the letter is encouraged to contact 911 or Pacific Cascade Principal Dana Bailey.
