July 10

ROCK N’ ROLL: A male in the 200 block of SW Clark St. told police at 6:38 p.m that he was having ongoing issues with a group of juveniles throwing rocks over the fence at parked cars. He has made this report to police previously as well.

July 11

NEIGHBORLY UNFRIENDLINESS: A woman reported at 6:43 p.m. in the 700 block of Front St. S. that her neighbor is giving her trouble. She was upset because her neighbor told her he had a concealed pistol permit. She wanted to know how to get an anti-harrassment order and police gave her advice.

ATTACK OF THE DOG: At 9:03 p.m. in the 300 block of W. Sunset Way, a dog off-leash reportedly lunged at a woman and her dog. The skin on the woman’s forearm was broken, but her dog was unharmed. Police walked the woman and her husband through the online King County animal report system and form at their residence.

July 12

IS IT POT OR NOT: Police went to the skate park in the 300 block of Rainier Blvd. S. at 3:44 p.m. because a group of juveniles was reported to be smoking marijuana. Police observed no violation. Smoking marijuana as a juvenile is illegal, as is the smoking of marijuana in public parks.

CHARGE: At 5:50 p.m., a man was standing in the middle of the 2100 block of Newport Way NW when a dog suddenly charged towards him in what the man reported was an aggressive manner.

July 13

COCK-A-DOODLE-DOO: At 4:55 a.m., police responded to a noise complaint in the 600 block of Jasmine Place NW that had been made over email. The complaint was concerning a rooster that crows during the early morning hours. Police sat at the location for half an hour, but heard no rooster.

GARBAGE DUMP: Police found a large amount of paper and cardboard waste at 11:55 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the 300 block of Gilman Blvd. While police were picking up the garbage, public waste employees from arrived to help.

KARATE KID: Police responded at 9 p.m. to Front Street North and East Sunset Way, where a man was practicing martial arts with a metal pole. The man said that he was not trying to alarm anyone and that he had not made any comments to anyone.

July 14

MEDICAL MATERIALS: Police found a large pile of needles and an empty insulin bottle at 9:14 a.m. on Newport Way Southwest. There was no drug paraphernalia. Police disposed of the needles in a sharps container and threw out the empty insulin bottle.

BEEP BEEP: At 11:26 a.m., a complainant said that there was a blue Genie lift noise coming from behind her house in the 1500 block of NE Jade St. She said the noise was similar to a truck backing up, “beep beep.” She said that the noise was very loud and goes on all day long on weekdays.

INTRUDER: At 9:54 p.m., a female said that she was upstairs at her home in the 300 block of Mt. Olympus Drive SW when she heard someone try to enter through the front door. She said that she did not see anyone because she was not in view of the door, but she could hear the knob being turned.
