Dozens gathered at the Historic Shell Station Thursday night to watch American roots duo Ben Hunter and Joe Seamons, the first artists on the line-up for the Gas Station Blues concert series.

Dozens gathered at the Historic Shell Station Thursday night to watch American roots duo Ben Hunter and Joe Seamons, the first artists on the line-up for the Gas Station Blues concert series.

Hunter and Seamons are a team of Seattle based musicians dedicated to the continued play of early 20th Century folk, country, blues and jazz, as well as subgenres like Appalachian murder ballads and hokum jug.

The Gas Station Blues series is being put on by a partnership of the Downtown Issaquah Association and the Washington Blues Society.

The next show, 7 p.m. July 23, will feature Rod Cook and Mark Riley. Future acts will include Kevin Selfe, Allen Markel, Nick Vigarino, Randy Norris, Jeff Nicely and The Stacy Jones Band.
