City of Issaquah sells surplus land

Issaquah’s City Council agreed May 16 to surplus and sell a lot in the Highlands provided the money goes toward parks in the Highlands.

The small piece of land could hold about three homes. It runs along the future College Drive and butts up against green space.

The city expects to sell the land to Polygon Homes for about $191,000.

Council members would only agree to the sale if the money was reallocated to green space.
