Aug. 26

CATTACK: A couple in the 4200 block of 221st Place SE called police at 10:52 a.m. because they felt threatened by a cat. Police helped the couple to escape their room, and locked the offending creature in the room. Police informed Animal Control, and they promised to send someone to help with the situation.

TRYING TO GET A FREE DRINK: Police were sent at 9:29 p.m. to a bar in the 1800 block of NW Gilman Blvd., where a drunk subject was causing a disruption by being emotional and talking loudly. He claimed that the bar had overcharged him, but he had no evidence to back up his statement.

Aug. 27

NEVER TRUST MAN-BUNS: A homeowner in the 4500 block of 186th Ave. SE reported suspicious footage on his home surveillance camera at 5:45 a.m. He said that the footage showed a male with a man-bun, about in his teens or 20s and wearing a white t-shirt and black gym shorts, who rang the doorbell 15 times and went into the backyard. Police arrived at the property and checked the backyard, but all was secure.

COPS TALKING TO COPS: At 10:26 p.m. at the intersection of Northwest Lac Leman Drive and Matterhorn Place Northwest, police responded to a complaint of noisy juveniles. Police found a group of juveniles playing “Cops and Robbers.” Police spoke to the juveniles, who promised to quiet down.

Aug. 28

WARRANT: At 9:40 a.m., while checking on homeless camps on foot in the 5400 block of 220th Ave. SE, police found that one of the transients had a warrant. The man was identified as a 54-year-old from Snoqualmie, and was arrested.

FOUND ANOTHER ONE: At 9:58 a.m., police found that another transient in the camps had a warrant. A 21-year-old Issaquah man had a warrant from the Renton Police Department. He was arrested by Issaquah police.

Aug. 29

BIKES ARE CHEAPER THAN HOUSES: A complainant stopped by the Issaquah Police Department at 5:01 a.m. requesting officers to check parking lots around the 6500 block of 226th Place SE for a homeless person riding around on a bicycle. Police were unable to locate the described person.

BUS-TED: A Metro bus broke down at 7:05 p.m. where Highlands Drive Northeast meets I-90. Police stood by until passengers were transferred off the bus and the tow truck arrived.

Aug. 30

COCA-COLA CROOK: At 12:07 p.m., a man, described to be about 40, vandalized and stole from a Coca-Cola machine in the 100 block of Front St. He damaged the bill feeder of the machine so that he could then remove about $100 worth of one-dollar bills.

Aug. 31

EATING, DRINKING AND USING LITTER BOXES: A store in the 700 block of NW Gilman Blvd. reported a theft at 8:43 a.m. About $100 in beer, cookies and cat litter had been taken.
