The Department of Natural Resources plans to continue its closure of the Mount Si and Little Si trailheads through at least Friday, as it cleans up wreckage from a small plane crash on the mountain.
DNR closed the area immediately after the crash was discovered so it could help teams from the National Transportation and Safety Board conduct their investigation.
“Depending on weather conditions and how well the removal of the plane wreckage goes, we hope to reopen the area for the weekend,” said Doug McClelland, Assistant Region Manager for DNR’s South Puget Sound Region.
DNR keeps a couple social media sites for immediate updates: Facebook, Twitter and Blog.
