Two local real estate agents who annually fund a fireworks show over Lake Sammamish by collecting money from lakeside neighborhoods are asking neighbors to dig deep this year to additionally donate to the Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank.
This is the fifth summer John Kritsonis and Karl Lindor have sponsored the Independence Day fireworks show over Lake Sammamish and the 17th summer the show has taken place.
This year, the Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank found itself in need of a new heating and air conditioning system for its building on First Avenue Southeast.
So Kritsonis and Lindor are asking neighbors to send donations to the food bank. The two have pledged to match donations up to $5,000.
“These guys are going out of their way to make a difference for our community members who are in need,” Food Bank Executive Director Cori Walters said.
Donations are asked to be sent to 179 1st Ave. S.E. in Issaquah.
The fireworks show will take place 10:15 p.m. July 4 over Lake Sammamish. Lake Sammamish Vasa Park and Lake Sammamish State Park will open to the public at 9 p.m.
