May 29

PROWL: A 24-year-old Bellevue man was arrested for malicious mischief and vehicle prowling on the 5500 block of East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast.

CHILD: An officer contacted a vehicle with a child sleeping inside on the 700 block of Northwest Gilman Boulevard. The child’s mother exited a store as the officer arrived and the officer gave her a “stern warning.” The child was asleep and appeared OK.

FIREWORKS: A police officer and Eastside Fire and Rescue personnel responded to fireworks coming from a yard on the 1000 block of Front Street South. A person at the property said the people there had stopped and would not continue. The Eastside Fire personnel gave the group a warning.

May 30

LOST GUN: A handgun was reported stolen from a Subaru Impreza parked on the 500 block of Wilderness Peak Drive Northwest, at a loss of $500.

HEAVY, YET LIGHT: $20 of change was reported stolen from an Acura MDX parked on the 500 block of Wilderness Peak Drive Northwest.

BEAR SIGHTING: An officer attempted to locate a small black bear that had been seen trying to cross Southeast Issaquah-Fall City Road near Southeast Black Nugget Road. The bear was not located and Washington State Patrol subsequently notified the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.

May 31

DUI AVERTED: An officer responded to a reported assault in progress at an address on the corner of Northwest Talus Drive and Shangri-la Way Northwest. The officer contacted a woman at the address who said she had a party and another woman who had been drinking attempted to drive away. A group of partygoers prevented her from leaving, which caused the commotion reported in the call.

MALICIOUS MISCHIEF: A vehicle had its windshield, wiper and hood damaged near the intersection of Mountainside Drive Southwest and Wildwood Boulevard South.

INSULT TO INJURY: A burglary was reported on the 300 block of Northwest Gilman Boulevard. A $500 air conditioner was damaged during the incident and $8 cash was taken.

ASSAULT: A 21-year-old Issaquah man was arrested for assault and disorderly conduct on the 2200 block of Northwest Sammamish Road.

June 1

GET A ROOM: An officer responded to a report of a man and woman having relations in the bushes near a business on the 1800 block of 12th Avenue Northwest. The officer found a “very intoxicated couple” unconscious in the dirt and brush. Both were identified and cleared.

CHEFT: An oven, cook top, dishwasher, microwave and lighting fixtures, altogether valued at $4,700, were reported stolen from a location on the 1000 block of Pine Crest Circle Northeast.

June 2

LIQUOR: Alcohol was reported stolen from a business on the 1400 block of Highlands Drive Northeast at a loss of $108.98.

LONG WAY FROM HOME: A 48-year-old Huntington Beach, Calif. man was arrested for criminal trespass in the second degree on the 300 block of Rainier Boulevard South.

ROAD RAGE: An officer on road patrol spotted a man with a bat arguing with another person in a car near the historic Shell station on Front Street North. The officer contacted both in their cars and the man with the bat said they had gotten into a road rage incident and he had the bat because he did not know what the other person might do. They went their separate ways.

June 3

THEFT: A 19-year-old Issaquah man and 18-year-old Snoqualmie woman were arrested for theft in the third degree on the 6200 block of East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast.

FALSE ALARM: A concerned citizen reported an alarm sounding on the 1500 block of 11th Avenue Northwest. An officer responded to the location, a business, and staff reported someone had accidentally pulled the fire alarm.

June 4

MAIL THEFT: Mail was reported stolen from a location on the 800 block of Front Street South.

FOUND: Police located a missing juvenile. The child was released into the custody of Renton police.
