The Mount Si and Little Si trailheads will be closed through President’s Day weekend, while investigators continue to investigate an airplane crash.

The Department of Natural Resources could keep it closed through next week, depending on the investigation, according to a DNR release.

Three people died Feb. 15, after a Cessna 172 crashed at Mount Si around 2 a.m. On board was a Decatur High School swim coach, Rob Hill.

DNR recommended hikers consider other trails, including the High Point Trail, which covers most of Tiger Mountain, and Rattlesnake Mountain Scenic Area Trailhead, which is just east of Tiger.
