The cities of Issaquah and Sammamish are now accepting applications for human services funding for 2011-2012.

This year, the application process is all online and will be conducted through the Web site of human services collaboration service www.hsconnect.net www.hsconnect.net

Cities from all over King County will use this same process, in an effort to better streamline the grant application and award process.

The due date for applications is April 29.

While the amount of funds available to human service agencies is still being determined, it is expected to be similar to last year.

In Sammamish, $160,000 was awarded in 2009 and in 2010.

It is estimated that the City of Issaquah will have approximately $220,000 available for each year, a similar amount to that granted in 2010.

Projects funded in 2011 will be renewed in 2012, contingent upon available funds and program performance.

In the past, both Issaquah and Sammamish have funded programs such as Eastside Baby Corner, Friends of Youth, Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank, Eastside Domestic Violence Programs, and programs for individuals with special needs.
