Issaquah lowers flags to honor Army Private killed in Iraq

The City of Issaquah today lowered its flags to half-staff in memory of U.S. Army Private First Class Erin L. McLyman who died March 13 of injuries she suffered during a mortar attack in Iraq.

The City of Issaquah today lowered its flags to half-staff in memory of U.S. Army Private First Class Erin L. McLyman who died March 13 of injuries she suffered during a mortar attack in Iraq.

Flags will remain at half-staff until the afternoon of March 22 or morning of March 23.

McLyman, 26, was a graduate of Sheldon High School in Eugene, Ore, and lived most recently in Federal Way.

She was assigned to the 296th Brigade Support Battalion, 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Joint Base Lews-McChord.
