ISSAQUAH BLOTTER: Police help drunk find car, then take away the keys

The following information was compiled from city of Issaquah police reports:

-When an intoxicated man wanted to file a police report for a missing vehicle, the officer found the car and then took away his keys until he sobered up Thanksgiving Day on the 100 block of Front Street North.

-There was a report of transients camping out at the lift station and leaving trash behind on the 1800 block of 11th Avenue Northwest, Nov. 24.

-Police were called to help remove a drunk man passed out in a business restroom at about 10 a.m. Nov. 27 on the 100 block of Front Street North.

-Police had a vehicle towed from Highlands Drive Northeast, Nov. 24, during the snow storm.

-There was a report of three loose pit bulls, which ran away when the officer arrived on the 22000 block of Southeast 61st Street.

-An unoccupied vehicle slid down a hill in the ice and snow on Northeast Natalie Way and 23rd Court Northeast and hit another vehicle on Thanksgiving Day.

-After police responded to a report of a disabled vehicle, the driver was arrested for two Issaquah Police Department warrants for theft and possession of marijuana at East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast and 229th Avenue Southeast Nov. 29.

-A security guard called police when he found a chain link fence had been propped up at the Swedish Medical Center construction site Nov. 25. Nothing was reported missing.

-Someone busted a window in a Subaru at the Issaquah High School parking lot Nov. 26. Nothing was taken from the car.

-A caller reported that a group of juveniles beating another youth on the 700 block of Northwest Gilman Boulevard at about 10:30 Nov. 26. When police arrived there weren’t any suspects or victims.

-When a resident called to complain about a panhandler Nov. 28 on 11th Avenue Northwest and Northwest Sammamish Road, police informed the caller that it wasn’t illegal in that area.
