Issaquah Police Officer noticed a stolen Toyota 4 Runner at about 12 p.m. March 20 in the 6000 block of East Lake Sammamish Parkway. When officers turned their patrol car around, the driver of the 4 Runner fled northbound and got caught in traffic at Southeast 56th Street.

The driver then tried to cross a planting strip, but got stuck. When officers pulled up, the the driver backed into the patrol car, injuring one officer’s leg in the process. Two suspects, ages 25 and 40, were found in the car. Both were taken into custody.

The injured officer was examined by medical personnel and released at the scene.
