Issaquah Wine Walk returns for fifth season

During the wine walk, vintners partner with Olde Town businesses and nonprofits to transform their storefronts into tasting rooms.

It’s that time of year again: When you can walk down Front Street with a wine glass, free of judgment.

The Downtown Issaquah Association will hold the first walk of its fifth season of Wine Walks this Friday, Feb. 5.

During the wine walk, vintners partner with Olde Town businesses and nonprofits to transform their storefronts into tasting rooms. Ticketed visitors will be able to fill up their glass (you’ll need to bring your own) and listen to live music or watch art demonstrations.

Participating wineries this Friday include Stomani Cellars, Michael Florentino Winery, Pine Lake Cellars, Armstrong Family Winery, Wilridge Winery, Patterson Cellars, Flying Dreams Winery and Don Carlo Winery.

Venues are ArtByFire Glass Blowing Studio, artEAST Art Center, First Stage Theater, Pelage Spa, Experience Tea, the Issaquah King County Library, the Train Depot museum and Yum-E Yogurt.

Musical acts will include Larry Murante at ArtEast, Gregg Glassman Trio at the Issaquah King County Library and The Dave Card Trio at the Train Depot.

Local artists will be on hand at artEAST to discuss their projects. Art by Fire will host a live glass blowing demonstration on site. The Issaquah King County Library will have volunteers from Museo Art Academy helping participants block print custom Valentine cards.

Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Tickets come with 10 drink tokens. Reservations can be made at downtownissaquah.com.
