The blotter consists of Issaquah police officers’ accounts of crimes and incidents in the city. Anyone arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
July 9
OMINOUS: An officer was dispatched to the Issaquah State Salmon Hatchery on West Sunset Way, where an employee had reported a suspicious man. The officer found him sitting in the woods and yelling out. The Hatchery caretaker did not want the man trespassed at that time.
PLATES: License plates were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 5100 block of Issaquah-Pine Lake Road Southeast.
ALCOHOL: An 18-year-old Bellevue man was arrested for shoplifting alcohol from a store on the 1400 block of Highlands Drive Northeast. Alcohol valued at $39.38 was recovered.
July 10
OVERDOSE: Shortly after 4 a.m., a woman arrived at the Issaquah Police Department and reported a male had overdosed on the 100 block of Northwest Alder Place. He was taken to the hospital.
ALL’S FARE: An officer responded to a report of a man sleeping on a bench in front of an address on the 1500 block of Highlands Drive Northeast. The man told the officer he was ditched by his friends and had no way to get home. The officer gave the man bus fare and sent him on his way.
IT’S GOT WHAT PERPS CRAVE: A 25-year-old Bothell man was arrested for the theft of Gatorade and ice from a store on the 1300 block of Highlands Drive Northeast. The merchandise was valued at less than $5.
HIT AND RUN: A hit and run was reported at the 6100 block of East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast, causing $500 in damage to a car bumper.
DOMESTIC: A 25-year-old White Salmon man was arrested for domestic violence on the 1100 block of Northwest Gilman Boulevard.
July 11
MALICIOUS MISCHIEF: A driver reported their tire had been maliciously damaged while their car was parked on the 600 block of Front Street South.
A VOLUMINOUS LOSS: A 2007 Mazda was reported prowled on the 1600 block of Pine View Drive Northwest. The loss from a damaged window and stolen hair products was estimated at $3,500.
ASSAULT: Two Sammamish men were arrested for disorderly conduct after police were called to the intersection of East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast and Southeast Black Nugget Road for an assault in progress.
July 12
DIRTY DOZEN: A woman on the 1600 block of 25th Avenue Northeast reported her red Corvette had been egged two nights in a row.
GTA: A Mercedes SL320 was reported stolen from a home on the 1000 block of Greenwood Boulevard Southwest following an apparent burglary.
DUI: A 40-year-old Renton man was arrested for driving under the influence near the intersection of Maple Street Northwest and Northwest Gilman Boulevard.
July 13
FRAUD: A citizen reported receiving calls from people claiming she owed money to the IRS. An officer advised her this was a scam and that she should visit the IRS website for more information.
July 14
FLIGHT: A person whom had been involuntarily committed to Swedish Hospital by county sheriff’s deputies fled from the emergency room. Issaquah police located the person with no issues and returned them to the hospital.
July 15
SNEAK ATTACK: A person reported she had stopped for traffic at the intersection of Front Street North and East Sunset Way when an agitated woman, unknown to the driver, ran across the street and banged her vehicle. There was no damage.
GO BIG AND GO HOME: A store on the 1400 block of Highlands Drive Northeast reported the loss of more than $268 of alcohol to shoplifting.
