Median work to slow traffic near Town Center in Sammamish

Starting tomorrow, Sammamish drivers should brace for slow traffic near the developing Town Center area.

Work crews will be altering a median strip and lengthening a turn lane on 228th Avenue Southeast as part of the new Town Center development at 228th Avenue Southeast and Southeast Fourth Street.

The lengthened turn lane is expected to allow more northbound traffic to turn left onto Southeast Fourth Street without impeding traffic.

The work will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday and is expected to last about two weeks. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction near the project when necessary.
