Road rage, stolen cars and a man gets angry at his Internet connection | Issaquah Police Blotter Oct. 24-30

Oct. 24

HOW WILL THEY KNOW WHO DID IT?: A window was damaged and a dash cam stolen from a car parked on the 1800 block of 12th Avenue Northwest, at a total loss of $380.

ROAD RAGE: Two drivers clashed on Northwest Gilman Boulevard after one driver thought another had cut him off and brake checked him multiple times. The driver behind followed the other into the Safeway parking lot where a confrontation ensued. An officer counseled them on their behavior.

Oct. 25

MALICIOUS MISCHIEF: A complainant visited the police department to report their windshield had been broken and their vehicle stripped, at a total loss of $500.

BURGLED: Tools were reported stolen from a Timber Ridge Way Northwest address, at a total loss of $600.

STOLEN CAR: A Chevrolet pick-up truck, valued at $18,000, was reported stolen from the 1600 block of 18th Avenue Northwest.

OUT OF GAS: A sergeant assisted the occupants of a car that had run out of gas at the intersection of Highlands Drive Northeast and Interstate Highway 90. The officer took the driver’s gas can, filled it and filled the car.

STINKER OF A CALL: An officer responded to a report of a portable potty unit blowing around the roadway near Northeast Park Drive and 10th Avenue Northeast. The toilet was not found, but a large construction barrel was removed from the roadway.

Oct. 26

ASSAULT: Three men — a 28-year-old from Bremerton, a 26-year-old from Issaquah and a 31-year-old from Issaquah — were arrested in connection to an assault case.

SADILLAC: A Cadillac was reported stolen from the 100 block of Timber Ridge Way, at a loss of $10,000.

TRAFFIC HAZARD: Winds blew a portion of a construction site fence into the roadway of the 1100 block of 7th Avenue Northwest.

CROWN JEWELS?: Approximately $35,000 worth of jewelry was reported stolen from an address at the 300 block of Northwest Gilman Boulevard.

NOT DRUNK, JUST YOUNG: An officer responded to a reported DUI near Highlands Drive Northeast and Interstate Highway 90. On arrival, it appeared it was just a teenager in the middle of a driving lesson.

Oct. 27

DISABLED CAR: An officer responded to a disabled vehicle on Southeast Black Nugget Road near Southeast Issaquah-Fall City Road. The driver said the battery had died. The officer pushed the vehicle across the intersection and out of the lane.

SUSPENDED: A 30-year-old Othello woman was arrested on eastbound I-90 for driving on a suspended license.

Oct. 28

FRAUD: A caller reported receiving several phone calls bearing a 202 area code from someone claiming to be with the Internal Revenue Service.

DUI: A 40-year-old Issaquah man was arrested for driving under the influence in the aftermath of a no-injury accident call near Southeast Issaquah-Fall City Road and Southeast Black Nugget Road.

Oct. 29

TENT: An officer responded to a report of transients on the Lake Tradition trail head. The officer found a tent that was beyond the city boundary marker on the trail.

ANGERNET: Police responded to a disturbance report at a Southeast Newport Way apartment. The occupant stated he was yelling at his computer because he did not have an Internet connection.

Oct. 30

SLEEPYTIME THEFT: A 57-year-old Bellevue woman was arrested for shoplifting melatonin from an establishment on the 1800 block of 10th Avenue Northwest.
