Sammamish Beaver Lake killer pleads guilty to hit-and-run, identity theft

Woman could receive over five years in jail time

The woman who killed a Seattle police officer’s son in a hit-and-run at Beaver Lake Park in January 2017 has agreed to a plea bargain that will see her sentenced for the hit and run and second-degree identity theft.

Ka’Deidre Alana Rials, 24, pleaded guilty to the two felonies on Jan. 17. As per the plea agreement, two counts of second-degree vehicle prowling were dropped.

Rials faces up to five years in prison for hit-and-run, and up to six months for identity theft.

According to witnesses, Moises Radcliffe, 22, and his girlfriend caught Rials and two teenagers breaking into his car on Jan. 25, 2017 in the park’s parking lot. As the prowlers sped away in an SUV, Radcliffe confronted the thieves with a gun. Rials then ran over Radcliffe with the SUV, killing him, and fled the scene.

A police examination “indicated that Radcliffe was dragged beneath the SUV for a considerable distance,” according to court documents.

One of the teenage suspects told police that she and the other people in the SUV did not realize that they had run over Radcliffe.

Rials’ sentencing hearing is set for Feb. 9 at the King County Superior Court.
