Shock treatment for student drivers

Last Friday's grisly reenactment, involving lots of fake blood, smash cars, sirens and lights, and fellow students playing dead and seriously injured, was all part of a local police and emergency services program to make young drivers aware of the dangers of drinking and driving.

Last Friday’s grisly reenactment, involving lots of fake blood, smash cars, sirens and lights, and fellow students playing dead and seriously injured, was all part of a local police and emergency services program to make young drivers aware of the dangers of drinking and driving.

The car crash scenarios were held in a number of area high schools this month, to encourage teenagers to make the right choice before they get behind the wheel of a vehicle.
