Snow is coming to Issaquah, week-long forecast

Forecasters are calling for 1 to 3 inches of snow this afternoon. Commuters should prepare for another grizzly commute home.

While the snow is expected to melt away by Wednesday morning, the National Weather Service has published a winter weather advisory for today.

Issaquah’s weather forecast at 200-feet elevation:

Today: Snow after 4pm. High near 37. Breezy, with a east southeast wind between 18 and 22 mph, with gusts as high as 39 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Tonight: Snow before 10pm, then rain. Snow level rising to 500 feet after midnight. Steady temperature around 33. Breezy, with a southeast wind between 17 and 22 mph, with gusts as high as 39 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Wednesday: Rain. High near 46. South southwest wind between 11 and 17 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%.

Wednesday Night: Rain. Low around 45. South southwest wind between 11 and 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%.

Thursday: Rain. High near 49. South wind between 11 and 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Thursday Night: Rain likely. Cloudy, with a low around 44. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Friday: Rain likely. Cloudy, with a high near 50. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
