Snow stops garbage collection in Issaquah Tuesday

Waste Management and Allied Waste suspended residential garbage pickup Nov. 23, because of the snow and ice.

They plan to pickup a double load without an extra cost to residents on the next regular collection day.

Allied Waste is asking residents to take their can off the curb until the next pickup day.

Allied Waste’s delayed pickup policy

– Up to twice the regular amount of garbage and/or food & yard waste will be accepted at no additional charge on the next regularly scheduled collection day for each container, Excess materials due to missed collection can be put in a temporary container, such as a box or paper bag marked “Garbage,” “Recycling” or “Yard Debris There is no limit on the amount of accepted recyclables for collection.

– No credit is given for delayed residential collection due to weather conditions, but up to twice the regular amount is accepted at no charge to compensate for the missed collection.
