Teen Fest offers day of fun for teens

Skate competitions and music at the Sammamish Commons will fill the day for teens June 7.

 

Skate competitions and music at the Sammamish Commons will fill the day for teens June 7. Teen Fest begins at 1 p.m. with registration for skate competitors, with competition beginning at 2 p.m. The cost to enter the competition is $5 for residents (must show middle or high school ID) or $10 for non-residents. Helmets are required.

The Redmond/Sammamish Boys and Girls Club will be sponsoring a live music show immediately following the skate contest on the Sammamish Commons plaza for middle and high school students with student ID only.

Scinite, sponsored by the Redmond Fire House plays at 6 p.m., followed by Henry Lavalee, sponsored by the Mercer Island Boys & Girls Club, at 6:40 p.m. Stereotype Nation, sponsored by Moore Brothers Music, performs at 7:20 p.m. and Moneta from 8-9 p.m., sponsored by Sammamish Kiwanis.

A shuttle will be provided from the south Sammamish Park and Ride to the park starting at 5 p.m. through the beginning of the concert and provides rides back to the Park and Ride after the concert is over.
