June 24

FLYING MONEY: At 5:03 p.m., a male came to the police station to turn a wallet in. The man had been driving on Southeast Black Nugget Road near East Lake Sammamish Parkway when he saw a wallet fly out of the window of a car. He stopped to retrieve the wallet and waited for the driver to return, but no one came back to claim it.

WHERE THERE’S SMOKE: At 7:46 a.m., police received a call from Newport Way NW reporting smoke in the area. Police investigated and found the source of the smoke. A generator was running and appeared to have been purposely left on. Police had dispatch attempt to contact the construction company.

DRUNKEN DISTURBANCE: At 9:39 p.m. at the Holiday Inn in the 1800 block of 12th Ave. NW, an intoxicated man, who had just gotten a ride from police to the hotel, was causing a ruckus by grabbing female guests and yelling obscenities at staff. The staff requested that he be removed. Police accompanied the manager to the subject’s room so the manager could ask the subject to leave. Police gave the man a ride to Motel 6 across the street and he got a room there. Police encouraged him to go to sleep.

June 26

MIRACULOUS DISAPPEARANCE:Police were asked at 7:30 a.m. to go to the 400 block of SE Sycamore Lane, where a man was causing a disturbance. The subject was in a neighbor’s yard yelling and preaching about God. When police arrived, no one was there.

JUST A SCRATCH: A man reported at 10:38 a.m. on Squak Mountain Loop SW that he had been running when a long-haired black dog ran up to him and scratched his leg.

June 27

HITTING THE FAN: A person from the 18800 block of SE 42nd St. called at 11:16 a.m. to report that dogs are defecating in her yard. She does not know which dogs are doing it, but knows that there are several that live in the neighborhood. Police told her to contact the police if she sees the owners letting the dogs do this. In this case, police would drive out and speak with the dog owners.

June 28

ROOFTOP RENEGADES: Police contacted four juveniles who were in the 100 block of Front St. S. at 3:44 a.m. Two of the juveniles were running on top of a building. The parents were contacted and the juveniles were returned to them.

TRANSLATION HELP: Police were contacted for help with Spanish-English translation at 12:31 p.m. in the lobby of a building in the 100 block of E. Sunset Way. The translation had to do with records requests and serving an order.

WEAPONS OFFENSE: At 1:11 p.m., police received a report from the Home Depot in the 6200 block of E. Lake Sammamish Parkway SE that a subject was brandishing a knife in the bathroom. Police arrived at the scene but could find neither the subject nor a victim.

June 29

ANOTHER RUNAWAY: A man in the 200 block of Wildwood Blvd. SW reported at 10:06 p.m. that his son, of whom he has joint custody, left home without permission. The man said that this has been a recurring issue.

A BIT TOO MUCH: A subject came to the Issaquah Police Department in the 100 block of E. Sunset Way at 10:29 p.m. and asked for assistance. He was so intoxicated that he could not walk. The man did a breathalyzer test and had a reading of 0.301. Emergency responders transported him to Swedish Medical Center at his request.

June 30

UNDERAGE DRINKERS: At 2:30 p.m. in the 300 block of Rainier Blvd. S., police received a report of several kids who were possibly drinking alcohol. Police observed the group of juveniles without being seen, but did not notice anyone with a container, and no one attempted to hide anything on approach by police. Police warned them of the complaint.

TIME FOR SCHOOL AGAIN: An apartment manager from the 200 block of SW Clark St. called at 9:03 p.m. to complain about a group of juveniles. The juveniles throw rocks at the property and at cars passing by on a daily basis.
