The city of Issaquah is hosting an open house regarding the results of a pedestrian crossing study 6:30 p.m. tonight, Nov. 19, at Tibbetts Creek Manor.
The city authorized a study of locations where pedestrians and bicyclists cross roadways in response to public outrage over the death of a 4-year-old boy at a marked crosswalk on Newport Way Northwest outside of his neighborhood.
Residents identified problem spots at an open house July 27. A city task force and hired consultant Transportation Solutions Inc. studied multiple crossings throughout the city. The city task force released the results of its study with recommendations for improvements in October.
Tibbetts Creek Manor is located at 750 17th Avenue Northwest, south of the Issaquah Transit Center.
