Heather Christine-Fawkes Braun, a resident of Sammamish, Washington since 1987, passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at the age of 58 years after a long and courageous battle with Pick’s Disease, a rare brain disease. Heather was born on December 4, 1959 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to parents Bohn Fawkes and Jean Lee Fawkes. She attended Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN where she met her best friend and future husband, Gary Braun. The two married in 1985, moved to Washington and had four sons. Heather was an incredibly wonderful and loving wife and mother who made a large impact on her community and will be missed by all who knew her.

Heather is survived by her husband Gary, her sons Eric, Kevin, Daniel, and Matthew, two daughters-in-law (so far!), her sisters Jennifer Fawkes of Plymouth, MN and Stefanie Fawkes-Lee (Marty) of Des Moines, IA, and her brothers Gregg Fawkes (Celia) of Vancouver, WA and Lee Fawkes (Ellen) of Brooklyn, NY.

A Celebration of Heather’s life will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 from 1:30-4:30 pm at Sammamish Hills Lutheran Church located at 22818 SE 8th Street, Sammamish, WA 98074.
