News of her death brought an outpouring of support from people around the world after it was learned that Rachel’s birthday wish raised $300 for a charity to provide water to African villages. More than $1 million has been raised.

Now Rachel has provided even more life. One of her kidneys was donated to a California man who had been waiting for a transplant for five years.

The man, Mark (he doesn’t want his last name used, according to a report on the KOMO web page), also has made a donation to charity:water in Rachel’s name.

“I plan to carry her charitable torch for the rest of my life,” Mark said.

Rachel has done so much for a life cut so short.
