Seniors Brandon Cole and W. Devin Bennett earned multiple victories for the Wolves.

Cole won the 200 and 400 meter sprints in 23.30 seconds and 52 seconds, respectively. Bennett took the long jump with a leap of 20 feet, 3 inches and the triple jump in 40-1.

Other individual winners included Daniel Jackstadt (100), Curtis McCarson (800), Paul Kupcis (1,600), Tucker Cole (110 hurdles), Gino Bresolin (shot put) and Sean Ross (pole vault). The 400 relay (45.30) and 1,600 relay (3:39.20) were also victorious.

The Eastlake girls defeated Garfield by a close margin of 74-68.

The Wolves claimed 10 events, led by Chelsea Orr’s multiple wins in the 800 (2:17.20) and 3,200 (11:46.10).

Other individual winners included Lauren Files (100), Morgan O’Connor (400), Megan Batty (1,600), Carlye Skinner (100 hurdles), Angela Henderson (javelin) and Grace Robison (pole vault). The 800 relay (1:51.70) and 1,600 relay (4:21.50) also finished first.

Skyline runs past Newport

The Skyline boys dominated the short sprints Thursday afternoon, beating Newport 81-63.

Senior Alex Lee finished first in the 100 (11.3) and 200 (22.36), while Kyle Branch took the 800 (2:04.3) and the 1,600 (4:36.8).

Other individual winners included Jake Monroe (shot put), Blake Digiovanni (high jump) and Kasen Williams (long jump). The 400 relay (52.35) and 1,600 relay (3:43.8) also finished first.

The Skyline girls defeated Newport 94-56 behind three individual victories from sophomore Sydne Tingey. She won the long jump (15-9 1/2), high jump (5-2 1/2) and 200 (28.27). Senior Amber Dodd swept the hurdles, taking the 100 (16.36) and 300 (46.4).

Other individual winners included Shealee O’Donnell (100), Michelle Bretl (400), Madeleine Hutson (800), Kathryn Steele (1,600) and Haley Ziegler (javelin). The 400 relay (50.7) and 800 relay (1:48.37) also finished first.

Issaquah edges Redmond

The Issaquah boys slid past Redmond Thursday afternoon, earning a 85-60 victory.

The Eagles received victories in eight events from eight different athletes.

Winners included Matt Hjelm (400), Isaac Robinson (3,200), Alexander Farmer (110 hurdles), Josh Martyn (300 hurdles), Jonathan Martyn (shot put), Daniel Fleischman (discus), Michael Baba (javelin) and Jason Hollaway (pole vault).

The Issaquah girls also earned a close victory over Redmond, 80.5-69.5.

Junior Haley Jacobsen and senior Kelley Chen both earned multiple wins for the Eagles.

Jacobsen won the 100 (12.2) and 200 (26.1), while Chen took the discus (83-5) and the javelin (109-10).

Other individual winners included Madison Callan (400), Lauren Bruner (100 hurdles) and Eva Perry (pole vault). The 800 relay (1:47.6) and 1,600 relay (4:21.9) also won.

Eastside Catholic teams finish second in three-team meet

The Eastside Catholic boys finished second in a three-team meet with Franklin and Rainier Beach Thursday afternoon.

The Crusaders earned 45 points, finishing ahead of Rainier Beach (35) and behind Franklin (56).

Eastside won four individual events and the 1,600 relay.

Chevelle Walker took the long jump (20-1/4), Matt Freeman took the 300 hurdles (45.78), Alex Kampp won the 800 (2:11.38) and Brian Comer won the 1,600 (5:17.95).

The Eastside Catholic girls also finished second with 25 team points. Franklin won with 53 and Rainier Beach was third with 21.

The Crusaders won two individual events and the 1,600 relay.

Tori Watkins took the 300 hurdles (1:01.03) and Emily Cook won the 400 (1:06.92).
