Updates from holiday basketball tournaments for Issaquah, Eastlake, Eastside Catholic and Skyline.

Issaquah wins two at Max Preps

The Issaquah boys lost their opener at the Max Preps Holiday Classic, 56-51 to Westchester, Calif., before rebounding for a pair of wins.

The Eagles beat Sunny Slope (Ariz.) 61-57 and came back to win a 68-58 game over Beverly Hills (Calif.). Harvard Westlake (Calif.) took a 61-58 contest from Issaquah to claim 13th place.

Jackson became the first non-California school to win the boys tournament, beating Capital Christian (Calif.) by nine points in the championship game.

Eastlake third in Southern California

Eastlake won a pair of games at the Estancia/Tustin Coast Classic, beating Sunny Hills (Calif.) 78-68 to open the tournament and taking the third-place game in overtime, 73-72 over Western (Calif.).

Crusaders make finals at Chaminade Christmas Classic

Eastside Catholic also trekked south, finishing the Chaminade Christmas Classic as the runner up after a 60-49 loss to the hosts.

The Crusaders began the tournament with a 82-49 win over Bishop Manogue (Nev.) before coming back to beat St. Bonaventure (Calif.) 90-41 and Valencia (Calif.) 71-69.

Skyline splits pair

Skyline stayed home for the holidays, losing a 64-37 game to Wilson (Tacoma) before coming back to beat Clover Park (Lakewood) 72-60.
