Scores and highlights from prep sports action in Issaquah and Sammamish.

Baseball

Issaquah 2 Newport 1

Issaquah scored the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh inning and pitcher Ryan Peart made it stick in a complete game performance on the mound to give the Eagles the win over rival Newport.

Blake Jones and Jack Gellatly knocked in the runs for Issaquah, with Gellatly entering the game in the seventh as a pinch hitter and coming up with the game-winner to score Jones.

Peart struck out four and allowed five hits to get the win.

Newport evened the game in the sixth before Gellatly’s heroics, and starting pitcher Ryan Kingma also tossed a complete game and allowed only one earned run on the day.

Newport 15 Eastlake 5

Kat Wood picked up the win in the circle for the Knights with a complete game performance and got plenty of help from the offense as the Knights cruised to the win.

Madelyn Shelby and Bridget Raftery each knocked in three runs for Newport.

Lacrosse

Eastlake 12 Snohomish 5

Josiah Fonte, Danny Keogh and Davis Caldwell each netted a hat trick to help Eastlake to the win over Snohomish.

Issaquah 12 Skyline 5

The Eagles scored seven goals in the final period to overcome a late deficit and beat Skyline. Ryan Egland scored three goals in the win. Tristan Miller had a pair of goals for Skyline.

Girls lacrosse

Issaquah 18 Overlake 12

Katy Bucy scored five goals and Haley Mincin added five more for Issaquah in the win.
