The local group of Issaquah, Skyline and Newport players has earned victories in its first two games, beating Bellevue Honda 4-2 on Wednesday and the Twin City Titans 7-5 on Thursday.

Issaquah graduate Shane Yarnell pitched a complete-game for Lakeside, allowing six hits and just one earned run.

Kyle Goemmer went 2-for-2 with two runs scored and Spencer Rogers was 1-for-2 with a double and two RBI.

Sean Penberthy, Daniel Altchech all had RBI hits in Wednesday’s victory, while Connor Lawhead picked up the victory in relief.

Lakeside plays the Vancouver Cardinals at 8 p.m., tonight at Bannerwood Park. They are scheduled to play the Kennewick Bandits at 8 p.m. on Saturday. The championship game is slated for Sunday with a time to be determined.
