The boys won 82-59, and were led by Kasen Williams victories in the long jump (20 feet, 10 3/4 inches) and the 200 meters (23.5 seconds). Other winners included Michael Booth (discus, 118-4); Erick Newman (javelin, 132-8); Blake Digou (high jump, 5-4); Dustin Bratten (100m, 10.9); Mitch O’Connell (400m, 53.8) and Kyle Branch (800m, 2:03.5). The 400 relay of Alex Lee, Joey Kettle, Williams and Bratten won in 44.6.

The girls also defeated Interlake, winning by a score of 77-59.

The Spartans were helped by taking all three relays. The 400 team of Amber Dodd, Shea O’Donnell, Michelle Bretl and Morgan Farrar won in 52 seconds. The 800 relay team of Morgan McCombs, Erika Shiroma, Shawna Zilonka and Kassia Fortier won in 1:56.2. The 1,600 relay of Haley Smith, Heather Copenhaver, Melissa Krieg and Sydne Tingey won in 4:36.0.

Devyn Butenko won the triple jump with a leap of 28-2, Kelsey Hu took the 3,200 in 14:09.8, Tingey won the high jump in 13-11 1/2, Dodd won the 100 hurdels in 16.5, Fortier claimed the 100 in 13.3 and Smith won the 800 in 2:26.1.

Eastlake girls down Issaquah

Eastlake defeated Issaquah by 32 strokes Thursday afternoon at Sahalee Country Club, 244-276.

Issaquah’s Katherine Yoon claimed medalist honors, shooting a 9-over-par, 45. Eastlake took the next four spots, however. Dana Mydland shot a 11-over-par, 47. Megan Wotherspoon finished third with a 48 and Emmie Schwartz and Kenzie Carlson tied for fourth with 49s.

LACROSSE

Eastside Catholic girls hammer Bainbridge

The Eastside Catholic girls lacrosse team defeated Bainbridge 15-2 Thursday night in a Division II matchup at ECHS.

The Crusaders were led by Lauren Breynaert and Alex Foreman, who scored four goals apiece. Eastside moved to 4-1 on the season with the victory.
