The Eagles erupted for seven runs in the bottom of the third inning — all with two outs. A throwing error by Tyler Neudorfer opened the gates for the big rally, which included tan RBI single from Marcus Gaan and two-run double from Jake Bakamus.

Gaan was 3-for-4 with three RBI on the afternoon while Devin O’Donnell went 2-for-2 with two walks and a run scored.

Skyline was led at the plate by Nate Litka, who was 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Shane Yarnell pitched the complete five innings, allowing one earned run on five hits, while moving his record to 3-0. Issaquah improved to 5-0 overall with the victory. Skyline dropped to 2-3 overall.

Eastlake drops fifth straight

The Eastlake baseball team in still in search of a victory after falling 5-0 to rival Redmond on Tuesday afternoon.

The Wolves mustered just two hits in the loss. The Mustangs were led by pitcher Dylan Davis, who just allowed one hit over six innings of work, along with eight strikeouts.

Eastlake fell to 0-5 overall with the loss.

Issaquah earns overtime win

Issaquah surrendered a two-goal lead in the final 10 minutes of Tuesday’s matchup with Newport, but came back to beat the Knights 4-2 in overtime.

Michael Roberts scored both overtime goals, including a goal in the 18th minute to record his first career hat-trick.

Issaquah led 2-0 after Roberts’ goal and another score from freshman Alex Shane in the 54th minute. Carter Michell had both assists.

Newport’s Ross Taylor and Taketo Suzuki scored goals in the 70th and 72nd minutes to tie the contest.

Issaquah improved to 2-0-1 in league and 3-3-1 overall with the victory.

Skyline rallies for a victory

Skyline trailed most of Tuesday night’s contest against Bothell before rallying for two second-half goals and a 2-1 road victory.

Bothell’s Yordan Rivera scored in the 5th minute for a 1-0 Cougar lead, before Travis Strawn punched in the game-tying score on a penalty kick in the 66th minute. Strawn scored the game winner off an assist from Braxton Griffin in the 73rd minute.

The Spartans improved to 2-1-0 in league and 4-1-1 overall.
