City Seeks Human Service Grant Proposals

The City of Issaquah – along with 16 other King County cities – is seeking proposals for human service programs to fund during 2011 and 2012.

A common application process will be used to receive requests for human services funding for 2011 and 2012. Starting March 22, 2010, interested agencies can visit www.HSConnect.net to begin the application process. The deadline for filing completed applications is 4:30 p.m. April 29, 2010.

The other participating cities include Auburn, Bellevue, Bothell, Burien, Covington, Federal Way, Issaquah, Kenmore, Kent, Kirkland and Redmond.

The City will give special consideration to proposals that:

· Have the greatest impact on the most Issaquah residents.

· Show that City funds will be used to leverage other funding.

Final approval is expected to occur in December 2010.

In the past, the City has funded programs such as Eastside Baby Corner, Friends of Youth, Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank, Issaquah Church and Community Services, Eastside Domestic Violence Programs and programs for individuals with special needs.
