Issaquah and Sammamish are still in for more snow, but not Snowmagedon

Forecasts for Wednesay's "Snowmagedon" scaled back Tuesday afternoon with more meteorologists calling for 2-6 inches instead of 5-14 inches in the Puget Sound region.

Forecasts for Wednesay’s “Snowmagedon” scaled back Tuesday afternoon with more meteorologists calling for 2-6 inches instead of 5-14 inches in the Puget Sound region.

A donut-shaped hole in the clouds above Seattle and Bellevue prevented much snow from touching the ground Monday night. Likewise, Issaquah lowlands didn’t see any new snow, but the Issaquah and Sammamish Plateaus saw about an inch.

Snow predictions also continued to stretch out through the week with scientists calling for a couple more inches Thursday evening, when they say snow will turn to mush around commute time.

The City of Issaquah is encouraging homeless men and women to head to Bellevue to seek out shelter at St. Peter’s United Methodist Church for men and the Salvation Army for women and children.

For those planning to go out Wednesday, Issaquah has a website with live video from popular roadways.
