Tonight’s city council meeting, which Mayor Ava Frisinger planned to highlight with an annual address, has been canceled.

Waste Management doesn’t plan to pick up garbage at homes Tuesday and its commercial service will be limited. Whereas Allied Waste plans to pickup garbage, but service will be limited to areas drivers can safely reach. If garbage hallers miss a pickup, customers can double their load the following week with no extra charge.

Classes at the Julius Boehm Pool were canceled for Tuesday, but the city is still planning for its regular open and lap swim.

The development commission meeting planned for Wednesday was canceled and rescheduled for Feb. 1, lieu of forecasts threatening several inches of snow in the Puget Sound Region.
