Interested in learning more about the issue of homelessness on the Eastside, and how you can help?
On Tuesday, Feb. 23, the Issaquah and Sammamish Interfaith Coalition will host two community meetings, during which they will discuss the current needs of the camp, the short term goals of residents and organizers, and creative solutions to long-term problems.
Meetings will be held at 9 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., at the Issaquah Community Church, 205 Mt Park Blvd SW, Issaquah.
The intention of the meetings is to gather all those who are interested in volunteering, and for people with similar interests to team up on projects.
Discussions topics will include:
• Building a TC4 support Facebook page
• Soliciting in-kind donations from local business community
• Long term transportation solutions
• Applying for grants from Eastside cities
• Employment opportunities in Issaquah business community
• Job training opportunities
Absolutely anyone who is interested is encouraged to attend. All ideas and suggestions will be welcome.
